Accessible Thailand Tours are operated by Nutty’s Adventures, which for 14 years has been offering responsibly and sustainably operated community-based tours and adventure holidays. We have built up a good supply chain of accessible hotels, accessible vehicles and special equipment, and our experienced guides have undergone specialist training courses. Our Accessible Thailand tours have been painstakingly developed over several years, in close cooperation with academic institutions, The Thailand Association of the Blind, the Mahathai Foundation for People with Disabilities and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
With this support from the government, encouragement from the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT) and the invaluable expertise of people who have dedicated their lives to helping people with disabilities and, of course, the disabled themselves, we have developed tour programmes that offer enjoyable and fulfilling holidays, operated professionally and meeting the special needs of everybody. Safety is such an important consideration in the world today, so apart from planning tours that can be operated comfortably and safely for clients with disabilities, we also have to consider dangers that cannot be seen. Thailand has been much less badly affected by COVID-19 than most other nations in the world. Swift government action and the cooperation of the Thai people have kept infections and deaths to a minimum. We all intend to keep it that way and so take safety precautions very seriously.
Early on, the Tourism Authority of Thailand drew up sets of criteria for the different sectors of the tourism industry to adhere to. The Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) certificate is awarded to companies that meet the required criteria. We received our certificate in July 2020. All aspects of your safety will be our primary concern while you are travelling in Thailand with us.
